It was April's inquisitive nature about the powers that be which led her to pursue journalism. Toying with the idea of court reporting while studying at university, she eventually decided to explore the world of arts and entertainment writing, getting her foot in the door by reviewing music and live events for blogs. This led to an internship at an independent music label followed by a role coordinating content for a national youth music charity. 

After travelling around Asia and North America, working as a freelance writer, April was grounded in London during COVID which is when she joined the LBB as a Features Writer. Fuelled by a perpetual curiosity and passion for the creative industry, she relishes the opportunity to connect with industry innovators and get the scoop on how first-rate creative is crafted. With LBB since 2022, April is based in Vancouver, Canada, where she provides editorial coverage for North America.
