At Jungle Entertainment it’s all about the work. With an ethos to put as much value on the screen as possible, we are continually striving to find creative, innovative ways to enhance budgets and deliver better films for agencies and clients.
Jungleboys is different in that our Directors work collaboratively and contribute to each other’s projects rather than working in isolation. Secondly, most of our directors are also TV and film writers – enabling us to really add value at the scripting and treatment stages of the process.
Comedy TV Series/Content
Our directors have directed five of the last seven Best Comedy AFI/AACTAs winning series. With a background in TV commercials production, our relatively recent move into TV production was given a big boost in 2012 with the success of our ABC1 comedy series “A Moody Christmas” (SMH Best Comedy of 2012) and with being chosen as one of the four recipients of Screen Australia Enterprise Funding. Our most recent ABC1 comedy series “The Elegant Gentleman’s Guide to Knife Fighting” was developed on our online comedy channel at www.jungleboys.tv. We are unmatched in terms of the experience and facilities required to produce brand funded content, virals and integrated campaigns.
We have recently launched our new factual division with the signing of two of Australia’s leading documentary filmmakers, Steve Oliver and Jen Peedom who have written, directed and produced documentaries for many of the world’s most prestigious broadcasters including ABC, BBC, Channel4, Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, France 5, RTE, SBS and WDR. We are interested in bringing a fresh approach to documentary and factual programming, producing smart but entertaining film and television for Australian and international markets. We also believe there should be more comedy in documentary. Our development slate ranges from a mini-animated documentary series, science series, factual entertainment series and a feature documentary. Whatever the project, compelling, passionate storytelling is always the priority. Jungleboys was announced as one of the four recipients of Screen Australia Enterprise Funding in late 2012.
