The main aim for our Pro User membership is to help get individual creatives’ work seen without them having to be part of a company, being able to upload any additional projects to their profile and fully curate and reorder the work to their preference - among lots of other advantages.
Now, after hearing from more and more individuals who want to promote themselves, we have launched a selection of interviews that Pro Users (who have signed up independently) can get involved in, showcasing their best work and getting featured on the front page of LBB, as well as populating their profile at the same time.
Read on to find out more about each opportunity and what they entail.
Put your best foot forward and say hello! In this feature, we want to give our Pro Users the chance to introduce themselves to the rest of the LBB community. It delves into what you do, your journey so far, some of the work that you’re proudest of, and anything else that fuels your creativity day-to-day. Given that this feature focuses on your introduction, it is the first interview that Pro Users are invited to partake in to kick things off. Take a look at the
completed Pro Hello features so far, with many more to come.
This piece is all about allowing you to showcase your creative passion and what really makes you unique and special as a creative collaborator. It could be a particular aspect of your craft that brings you great pleasure, or a detail that you always obsess over (a visceral abhorrence of copy clichés or a compulsively fastidious approach to typography). Or it could be something related to your craft that you collect - perhaps vintage cameras or D&AD annuals - that you feel gives you a deeper understanding of what you do and feeds your creativity. These creative obsessions can be related to more traditional aspects of creative craft, or lean more into the more tech-driven side of modern creativity.
Share your creative skills and expertise with this interview. It’s also a chance to advise and inspire people with less experience looking for a way into the field, from sharing the crucial skills required to succeed, to perhaps any new advances (such as in technology) that are evolving and subsequently changing how things work within your sector.
With an open layout, this insight-based op-ed has a different twist to the rest. It’s about creating a space for freelance talent to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities that come with being a creative, strategist or production expert who is taking control of their destiny. Balancing business and creative isn’t always easy! For these opinion pieces, we are looking for around 800 - 1000 words to discuss freelance life. Perhaps you want to take clients to task for slow payment of invoices, or maybe you’ve found a surprising way to build a professional community while working as a free agent. Maybe you’ve found freelance life has opened up a more creative way of living, or maybe you want to advocate for the wellness challenges that face freelancers who struggle to turn down work.
Similarly to how company members of LBB have access to Member Interviews, these four new features are exclusively for Pro Users to be able to chime in and self-promote on our front page, as well as hosting the articles on your own profile. You can click on the title of each feature to download the interview template. Please get in touch beforehand if you’re a Pro User and want to partake.
Please note, this series is for Pro Users who have signed up independently. If you are are a free Pro User due to the fact you are part of a company with Standard or Premium membership, you can partake in our Member Interview series' instead.
