Optimum Nutrition, the UK’s leading sports nutrition brand, is bringing excitement to the nutrition aisle this summer with the launch of its exclusive Golden Scoop on-pack promotion, developed in partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 Team – the iconic racing team. The campaign invites consumers to discover a hidden golden scoop inside specially marked Gold Standard Whey pouches for a chance to win exclusive prizes, embodying the brands’ united drive for performance, innovation, and excellence.
Consumers who uncover a golden scoop inside participating packs will win a McLaren Racing weekend experience in Las Vegas. The campaign will also offer them the chance to win secondary prizes made up of specially curated bundles made up of McLaren Formula 1 Team merchandise and Optimum Nutrition products, designed to fuel peak performance and recovery.
The campaign marks the next phase of the ongoing partnership between Optimum Nutrition and the McLaren Formula 1 Team. As the McLaren Formula 1 Team’s Official Sports Nutrition Partner, Optimum Nutrition supports the team’s performance, recovery, and wellbeing needs with its science-led product portfolio, powering the team to unlock their full potential.
“The Golden Scoop campaign is giving us the opportunity to bring our partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 Team directly to consumers in-store, giving them an exciting opportunity to win big whilst supporting our continued focus on driving relevance in the sports nutrition aisle,” said Brian McMonagle, senior brand manager at Optimum Nutrition.
The campaign runs across Optimum Nutrition’s three top-selling 15-serve Gold Standard Whey pouches – Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry, until August, and is available across major UK supermarkets, Holland & Barrett, and Optimum Nutrition’s online channels, while stocks last.
The campaign is supported by an integrated marketing programme including in-store point-of-sale, digital content, social media, and paid media to help maximise awareness and engagement throughout the promotional period.
