Terry has completed his latest drama "The Expanse" and is now available for commercials.
Terry McDonough, Director said: "I have wanted to direct commercials for a long, long time and anyone who looks at some clips on my showreel will see the importance of the composition and the lighting to me... the content of a frame is crucial to me because that has to tell a story as much as the dialogue. And I think if you've only got fifteen seconds, thirty seconds or whatever then it has to be absolutely, perfectly acute.
For me, the appeal is a lot to do with the challenge of distilling an advertising message in whatever way it's couched into the space that's available”.
In 2013 he directed the much anticipated and BAFTA nominated Mark Gatiss BBC drama An Adventure in Space and Time, set in 1963 telling the story of the creation of the iconic british television series Doctor Who. a love letter to the iconic British science-fiction series Doctor Who. This year he has directed the NBC Pirate period drama “Crossbones” about Blackbeard starring John Malkovich along with "Halt and Catch Fire" loosely based on the life of Steve Jobs.
Mark Brown, Manging Director at Dark Energy Films, said: "I have been a huge fan of Terry since Breaking Bad. Serendipitously, I have a strong relationship with his long time producer and confidante Nicki Casey, which is how we got in touch. I can't wait to get Terry into commercials and with the commercials production pedigree of Nicki Casey the crossover from drama will be smooth and elegantly handled."
