Danny Dyer Surprises Londoners with Free Fish and Frank’s RedHot

Today, as the lunchtime rush hit Central London, an independent chippy just off Oxford Street offered an unforgettable surprise for lots of hungry customers, when everyone’s favourite east-ender Danny Dyer, a.k.a. ‘The Codfather,’ turned up to give the lunchtime crowd a flavourful feast as part of the Frank’s RedHot latest #TheCodfather campaign.

As eager diners headed to pick up their Friday feast, they were thrilled to find none other than acting legend Danny Dyer donning a red apron handing out their favourite bite, which had been levelled up flavour-wise with Frank’s RedHot sauce cooked into the batter itself.

The spicy surprise pop-up attracted hundreds, who laughed and chatted as they posed for selfies with ‘The Codfather’ , before tucking into delicious free portions of fish and chips, with Danny jokingly telling customers in the queue, “Trust me, fish and chips with a glug of Frank’s RedHot is double naughty”.’

Speaking at the surprise appearance, Danny Dyer commented, “Nothing beats a proper chippy tea – it’s a British classic we all know and love… but when you add Frank’s RedHot into the mix, blimey, it’s something else! One customer who happened to stumble on the surprise during their usual Friday lunchtime chippy run also commented: “Best fish I’ve ever had!”
