bandstand, one of the indie landscape’s best-kept secrets, has added more creative firepower to its senior leadership team by hiring Cory Eisentraut as executive creative director.
The agency has recently been on a concerted mission to expand and improve its offering, in both the UK and globally, and Cory has been brought in to add the creative expertise and experience to not only bed in and attract bold forward-thinking new clients but also lead the existing team of creatives, creators and mavericks that make up the bandstand offering.
Delivering stunning work for agencies across both sides of the Atlantic, Cory’s dedication to the craft of creative advertising, collaboration and the power of integrating ideas across the full ecosystem, complements perfectly the agency’s maverick approach to creative and passion for exacting design work. Cory’s appointment will see him work alongside the unique trio of directors Tom Tootal, Nik Windsor and Fi Case, each a powerhouse of creativity, meshing strong individual flair and vision with a renegade spirit.
He will also be responsible for leading the charge on ever-increasing organic growth from bandstand’s existing clients, which include Biffa and its long-running and hugely successful ‘What Iff?’ platform targeting B2B customers; Cotton Lives On, a project transforming people’s lives by usefully recycling cotton to create items like beds for the homeless; and the forthcoming highly anticipated Fulham Pier project, which looks set to become one of the most popular new destinations in London this summer.
Having won a host of awards, including two Gold Cannes Lions, Cory joins bandstand from BBD Perfect Storm, the renowned brand and culture transformation agency, where he was Creative Partner, working on Pepsi, Vitality, Mishcon de Reya and Marriott Bonvoy. Prior to his move to London in 2019, Cory worked at JWT in Toronto, including stellar work for Johnson and Johnson and HSBC, as well as at Havas Toronto, as vice president, creative director.
Cory Eisentraut, executive creative director at bandstand, said, “I think bandstand is one of London’s best-kept secrets in the creative industry, and I want to explode that notion and help more brands and wider audiences recognise the incredible work it's doing. I’m excited by not only working with its long-standing client base but also helping to forge new relationships with a wide range of global clients.”
Tom Tootal, director at bandstand, said, "We’ve always been committed to pushing creative boundaries, and with Cory joining the team, we’re taking this to yet another level. With a new leadership team in place and expansion into new territories, we’re now ready to take the next steps in our growth journey and bring an even more maverick approach to creativity.”
