On Little Black Book, we have listed credits for years. People were always able to come to the site, paywall-free, and take a look at who was involved in whatever campaign they were reading about. However, when we revamped the site last year, we regenerated the 2.4 million static credits that already sat within LBB and made them interactive. This meant that every single person credited on press releases, interviews or any piece of work in our Creative Library, gained a free auto-generated profile on LBB.
These profiles contain every piece of work, news and Immortal Award entry you have been involved in. They also automatically update with anything new you are credited on, so every time you are involved in a campaign or article in the future, it will populate your profile – whether it's been uploaded by your own company or someone else – meaning personal upkeep is minimal.
We’re now reaching out to the 250,000+ people who have a free profile to verify. Doing this couldn’t be easier, and means that you can add your photo, bio, edit your job title and add any other information to your page. Plus, if your company is a member of LBB, it also helps your office’s People section to look its best.
Why is this important? Well, it’s what advertisers have asked for us to help them with. They want to see the talent at your company, and what they have done prior. After making our credits clickable, LBB now links back to a quarter of a million people who can all be seen freely, meaning we’re giving the creative community something that has never existed – a place for clients to find the company / talent they want to work with, as well as somewhere individuals can store their portfolios.
All you need to do is log in (or
sign up for free), then search for your name in our
People section, find yourself and simply click 'Claim This Profile' (if you are not there yet, the LBB team can create a profile for you). This request will be sent to us for a swift approval, and once accepted, you can then edit any details you like via 'My LBB' at the top right.
If you need a hand or want more info, feel free to get in touch with LBB’s head of department, creative talent, Hannah Baines (
hannahb@lbbonline.com) and she will help you get connected.
You can read more about LBB’s People section and additional Pro User membership via Hannah’s profile.
