Many years in the making, LBB’s Creative Library is about to launch in live beta - CEO Matt Cooper talks about bringing his vision to life and creating a smart and free-to-view archive platform that will help you showcase your creative work and talent to the world

Get ready for 'The Creative Library', LBB’s exciting upcoming new launch. It’s been months - years, probably - in the making and we reckon our re-tooled archive will change the way you work, whether you’re a company looking to store and share your work, or a marketer or creative looking for new partners or inspiration for your latest project.

This isn’t a dusty old archive. It’s an easy-to-search, paywall-free library where all our members can store and share all of their reels and creative work.

When we started LBB, the aim was to create a platform that could really help the business we loved, to create one place where the whole world could read about global creativity from post, production, music, agency and client and see the best work in the world.

Ten-ish years in and our team has grown from 2 to 40 people and we have created a new way for creative companies to celebrate their work, people and more. It was a different approach that took a while to build. Along the way we have launched The Immortal Awards (a free-to-enter creative award show with a difference that has now become a local, regional, and global event). We launch new versions of the site almost weekly and are about to deliver a whole new look. Put that together and we have created ‘a data driven communication platform for the communication world’.

But in being so busy, our creative archive was a little neglected. It became ‘a fairly neat place’ where you could view good ads and make some collections, but now, it is about to get the attention it deserves. This rebuild has seen us take in over a million credits across the LBB site in the last few months. These credits are all about to become clickable and free-to-view.

We are employing a whole new team to look after ‘The Creative Library’. It’s a place where you can store all your great work and it can be viewed by our 400,000 monthly visitors. If you’re using it for research, it will be free to view work, download it or make reels. It will become THE library for the creative world.

We are about to launch the first phase of it which will see all the credits go live. This won’t be the final version, but a live beta,as we make some changes for the next two phases. Phase two and three will blow your mind.

Now, we’d like to invite you all to put your best work forward and keep filling it up. If you are a Silver member, you’ll have space for 150 assets, Gold members have 250 and higher membership levels are essentially unlimited. I’m personally excited by this for many reasons.

This archive can save the business (of advertising) and companies around the world MILLIONS of pounds, all while educating users on our industry’s history.

Even better, this will be a digital library run by real humans. Can you believe that? As with all parts of the LBB toolkit you will be able to contact us. If you want, we can manage your archive for you. Being a services library means that your archive will remain active and up-to-date. We can not only upload your work for you, we can also tag and input in all your credits, while you simply get on with your jobs.

We have enjoyed building LBB, the news and editorial is buzzing, and now we will be concentrating some time (and a new team) on this archive. We are dead excited and would love to talk to you about it. It will change the way you work (for the better) and allow you to be seen and found by 100’s of thousands more folk, without them spending a penny and when this is fully ready to launch it will launch with a whole brand-new site, that has a completely different look and feel.

What we ask/suggest now is that contact me or others at LBB and start putting your best work forward. We want all the stuff you use for reels and pitches, all your award-winning work and let’s get it tagged so YOU can be found.

Please reach out and talk to us, you will be pleased you did.
