Untold Fable – a tech-powered production company on a mission to drive greater diversity, equity and inclusion within advertising – today announced the appointment of former Buzzfeed production manager Shyanne Wester to lead the company’s expansion into the U.S. market.
Shyanne, who has almost a decade of experience managing large-scale, high-impact productions for a host of global brands, such as Unilever and Spotify, joins as executive producer. She will be responsible for growing the DEI-focused production company’s presence across North America and supporting its growing list of US-based clients.
Untold Fable leverages a global network of 5,000+ filmmakers across 100+ countries to create authentic, culturally relevant content for brands including Nike, L’Oreal and Bumble. The global company champions diversity and inclusion at every stage of the ad production cycle, giving brands and agencies access to technology that enables them to track production crew diversity, ensuring measurable progress towards their DE&I goals.
From social media content to large-scale productions, Untold Fable focuses on genuine storytelling that resonates with modern audiences, aiming to transform the advertising landscape by promoting diverse voices and perspectives. Shyanne’s proven track record of leading cross-functional teams across diverse markets will be crucial in helping Untold Fable expand into the U.S ad market.
Prior to joining Untold Fable, Shyanne worked with Mass Appeal, where as a line producer she managed a $3 million budget spearheading award-winning episodic content for brands such as Adidas and Google, achieving a 20% cost efficiency.
She was also a supervising producer at Skillshare, where she expanded global production capacity by 30%, while as a creative production manager at Buzzfeed, she managed global campaigns for various high-profile clients, including Spotify, Unilever and Lionsgate, driving a 30% increase in audience engagement. Shyanne will report directly to CEO and founder Kate Tancred, who is based at the company’s headquarters in London.
Shyanne will be based at the company’s new office in New York, where she will be joined by Unfold Fable’s new NY video producer/ editor, Abbi Abraham, an award-winning filmmaker with strong expertise in all aspects of production.
Abbi's industry experience includes working as an associate producer and editor for production company GC.NYC, where she worked on projects for prominent beauty and lifestyle brands like Allure, Manscaped, Elemis, and Smashbox. She most recently worked as a social media editor at Complex, crafting viral moments from interviews with A-list talent.
