Ogilvy Italy tells the story of Miriam with a twist that will make you think
Emergency, the humanitarian organisation with a mission to help civilian victims of war and poverty returns with a video wishing us the best for 2019.
The film, created by Ogilvy Italy, tells Miriam’s story. She seems to be a girl like everyone else, with the same sorts of dreams and interests. We follow her as she looks forward to a future with opportunities, friends, family and love. She aspires for normality, but as we find out at the end of the story, normality is not available to everyone.
The NGO’s goal in this campaign is for everyone to meditate on the inequalities in our societies, affecting people according on their place of birth, the colour of their skin or their religion.
2019’s campaign follows the success of last year’s film ‘Jalal’ - the moving story of an Indian migrant trying to make a living by selling roses in Milan - and builds on its message that “every person matters.”
