“I could not be happier the Goetz Brothers are joining Mirror,” says Barrett. “I've been huge fans of theirs for a long time. The body of work that they've accomplished for being so young is amazing. Their versatility is what wows me the most. From comedy dialogue, visual effects work, cars, kids, animals -- it is mind blowing how talented they are. Their future is as bright as any director working today.”

For the Goetz Brothers, the decision to join Mirror Films came on the heels of their first feature film debut. “We were looking for a forward-thinking, edgy company that was grounded by solid leadership and creative support,” explains Director Kevin Goetz. “We were attracted to Mirror from the start due to the company’s unique ability to cross pollinate through exciting new media opportunities while still remaining true to the traditional framework of the business.”

Adds Director Michael Goetz: “We are excited about the opportunity to work with Mirror and Eric Barrett. Eric is passionate about going after and making great content; his energy and enthusiasm is contagious. Described as the hardest working executive producer in town, Eric's relationships with clients came highly recommended from some of the top agency producers out there. We look forward to working with him.”

Bio: The Goetz Brothers
Kevin and Michael Goetz work harmoniously together, both investing the same visual style and narrative direction into each project. “It all starts with preparation. Filmmaking is a collaborative art -- all we do is take that collaboration and run with it.” With the adage two heads are stronger than one, the Emmy-Nominated Goetz Brothers have been directing commercials and music videos for over 12 years, helming projects for Nissan, Honda, Disney, HBO, State Farm, McDonald’s and BMW to name a few. Recently, The Brothers wrapped principal photography on the feature "Scenic Route" written by Kyle Killen and starring Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler.

Beyond stunning film and polished style, the Brothers are accomplished storytellers, both visual in nature and dialogue driven. The duo has shown an uncanny ability to lace even the shortest of spots with layers of cohesive narrative and genuine emotion.

The Brothers were nominated for a Primetime Emmy for their opening design and direction of the “Wonderful World of Disney” for ABC and two of their commercials have been placed in the permanent collection in the Museum of Modern Art. They have had a music video win “Fuse’s Best Rock Video of the Year” and they have been short-listed at Cannes. Their “Call of Duty” spot was short-listed at the 2011 AICP Awards.

Both vigorously support strong casting and performance -- a trait passed down to them from their father, actor Peter Michael Goetz. Throughout Peter’s long stage and film career, the two could be found behind the scenes soaking up the process of production.

Michael earned a masters degree in film while attending USC’s School of Cinema, while Kevin graduated from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. The Goetz Brothers are repped by Los Angeles-based Mirror Films.
