The Art Directors Club of Europe Premiers Annual Award Book as an iPad App

The Art Directors Club of Europe (ADC*E) unites design and technology with the release of its first-ever digital awards annual. This app-as-book showcases the “best of the best” of European advertising and design in a way that is more vivid and engaging than ever before.

 

The “Annual of Annuals 2011” offers a unique opportunity to delve into the 582 pieces of winning work from 25 European countries; all winners of the 20th Edition of The Best of European Design and Advertising ADC*E Awards along with all of the Gold and Silver awarded work from each nation’s competitions. 

 

There are 422 pages of images, text, and extensive video, that offers viewers the ability to move, slide, amplify, and rotate each piece of content in either horizontal or vertical position. Viewers can also fill the screen with individual images and videos for couch viewing.

 

The book is divided into 6 categories or chapters: Film & Radio, Print Advertising, Digital, Design & Promotions, New Media & Events, and a chapter dedicated to Young European Creatives and Students. 

 

In addition to the winning work itself, the book includes a directory of all works by client, agency, creative directors, art directors, designers, as well as profiles of each of the 53 jurors, leading creative directors and industry leaders who came from across Europe to Barcelona to judge the 2011 awards. Photographs and a video summary of the event and party as well as essays from Chairman Franco Moretti and Jury President, Amir Kassaei are also included.

 

The ADC*E annual is an essential reference tool for the global creative community as well as an inspiring archive of European creativity.
