E-commerce platform Spryker has chosen Dept as a strategic partner and will subsequently expand its activities in the Benelux.
Earlier this year, the technology company behind the platform invested 22 million dollars to allow for internationalisation and articulated the wish to find local partners in the Netherlands, Belgium and England.
The e-commerce market shows rapid pace of development and requires innovative solutions. What was missing was an operating system, that allows companies across all industries to digitalise their business models, in order to give their online sales a boost. With the aim to provide flexibility instead of standardisation, Spryker was the first to enter the market with an operating system for commerce. This allows fast implementation of customer interfaces, such as voice technology, IoT, blockchain and more for a quick time-to market.
Tim de Kamper, Director Commerce at Dept: “The name Spryker has been mentioned at Dept several times. They already worked in close collaboration with SuperReal, that became part of our network earlier this year. For Dept, Spryker is definitely of added value, because we are now able to let our customers choose from technological solutions that suit them best”.
Alexander Graf, CEO at Spryker, adds: “Investing in new markets has been on our minds for some time now. Given the broad and growing network of Dept, we saw a strong partner in them. We look forward to rolling out our activities in the Benelux and offering our services to customers there.”
