This Thursday on November 6, Saatchi LA, Toyota’s advertising agency of record, will shut down its office for “Saatchi Good Day”, offering up their staff to volunteer at multiple charities and make a difference in the local and surrounding communities of Los Angeles.
Different from other corporate volunteer program models that typically focus on one specific charity or cause, Saatchi LA staff breaks into smaller groups to work with different organizations in the surrounding communities. Non-profit organizations like Ronald McDonald House, Surfrider Foundation, Children’s Institute, LA Food Bank and the Union Rescue Mission are just a few of the charities that are participating in this year’s Good Day.
Saatchi LA President, Chuck Maguy said, “As a company, we have a responsibility to help those in need, not only during the holiday season, but year-round. Saatchi Good Day allows us to foster a more personal link to the community by sharing our staff and resources with local organizations that could use an extra hand. We support multiple volunteer opportunities throughout the year, including Good Day, and it’s certainly one of the reasons why Saatchi LA is such a unique place to work.”
Saatchi Good Day originated in the early 1990’s when small volunteering gestures lead to the development of the Saatchi Community Involvement Team, an extensive strategic philanthropy initiative insuring that the agency’s giving aligned with the company’s mission and core values
