The Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection hit stores on April 19th. To celebrate the partnership, Target’s marketing campaign is a celebration depicting a party in honor of Lilly Pulitzer’s festive spirit and manifesto: “Life is a Party”. Lilly Pullitzer, the woman, was the real inspiration behind everything and was known for her legendary parties in the 60's-era Palm Beach. So, Target’s agency Chandelier has recreated one of Lilly’s famous fetes in a TV commercial featuring Chris Noth, Nick Young, Bella Thorne and Alek Wek. The 60 second video embraces Lilly Pulitzer’s legacy as a woman who lived without boundaries, showing the collection as fabulous, chic and colorful just as Lilly was.
Scenes from the “party” in the commercial will also appear in an immersive online experience accessible via desktop and mobile. This digital experience is the first Target has ever launched in support of a designer collaboration. The app will let customers experience the collection through the party and identify product straight from scenes in the TV commercial.
Creative agency Chandelier concepted and developed the integrated campaign, which consists of TV, three print ads, digital, social and the branded app. The full campaign launched April 12th.
