Agency promotes business director to new role as it seeks to deliver against ambitious growth plans over the next three years

M&C Saatchi London has today announced the promotion of business director, Anna Heracleous, to the newly created position of head of account management, as it seeks to deliver against ambitious growth plans over the next three years.

In her new role, Anna will act as the 'spiritual leader' for M&C Saatchi’s 30-strong account management team, defining the attitude, energy and ambition for the department, with a focus on three core areas: culture, resource and talent development.

Anna will work to further develop a positive, inclusive and creative culture within the account management department, in order to enable true partnership within the team, with clients, and with other agency departments.

She will also oversee the team’s approach to resourcing, ensuring that client needs are fairly balanced against individuals’ progression, capacity and opportunity. As part of this, she will work closely with M&C Saatchi’s people team to attract and retain diverse, outstanding talent.

When it comes to talent development, Anna is charged with designing and deploying tools for excellence, ensuring everyone that has the right training, support and resources to fulfil their potential.

Starting her career at Havas on the global Credit Suisse account in 2010, Anna joined M&C Saatchi as a senior account manager on the Transport for London account in 2013, overseeing the launch of the world’s first ever contactless payment system. She also worked on a number of key TfL initiatives driving positive change, with campaigns for road safety and unwanted sexual behaviours, as well as fares and ticketing pushes and its award-winning Tour de France work.

Anna has significant experience of leading large teams to deliver complex, multichannel behaviour change campaigns, having overseen a number of major Public Health England campaigns tackling issues including childhood obesity (with the Change4Life programme), smoking and cervical screening.

Most recently, she has worked on O2’s customer experience account, and she currently leads the agency’s LNER business.

Anna’s promotion reflects M&C Saatchi’s ongoing commitment to recognising and promoting internal talent.

Camilla Kemp, CEO, M&C Saatchi Londonsaid: “Strong client partnerships have never been more important to us. I’m delighted to see Anna taking on this new role, to ensure every single member of our account management team has what they need to foster and maintain strong, strategic and enjoyable partnerships with our clients. She has demonstrated an authentic passion for the discipline of account management and has a clear plan for how the department’s success will help the entire agency work better together.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how her brilliant new ideas will further strengthen the reputation of our account management team amongst clients and across the industry.”

Anna Heracleous, new head of account management, M&C Saatchi London, added: “I’m thrilled to be taking on this new role, at such an exciting time for the agency.

“I’m hugely passionate about the art of account management and the critical role our department plays in partnering with our clients to create meaningful change in the world.

“It’s a real honour to lead such a talented bunch of account handlers and I’m looking forward to building on the great foundations we already have in place, no doubt having some fun along the way.”
