Mackenzie Sheppard Joins RSA Amsterdam for Continental Europe

Mackenzie Sheppard has joined RSA Amsterdam’s director roster for continental Europe (non-UK). The Tokyo-based film director is known for his wide variety of storytelling in both fictional and documentary forms.

 

As a long format specialist Mackenzie is passionate about bringing advertising and original content into one sphere. His natural sensibility combined with his humorous and magical take on stories has received widespread acclaim. 

 

Mackenzie’s work has seen him secure numerous awards wins and nominations throughout his career including the Cannes Young Director Award in both 2015 and 2016. This weekend, his ‘Liberty Fields’ film for Guinness (AMV BBDO, Stink UK) will see him compete in the Best Director category at Ciclope.

His 2019 six-part S7 Airlines ‘Visit Earth’ (Wieden & Kennedy, Amsterdam) series, a unique spin on the travel show format, has so far racked up over 35million views on YouTube. The comedic documentary 'travel show for aliens' was even broadcast into space. Other recent clients have included Audi, Lexus, Honda, Mercedes Benz, Beats, Heineken, Nike, Pioneer, VISA, and Tiffany & Co.

“I believe in long form within branded entertainment” said Mackenzie. “It’s really the only kind of scripts I’ve ever been into, and I think my choices and reel show that. I am super excited to push myself to the next level and beyond.”
