Sound and music production company Machine announces the opening of its New York audio facility. The award-winning team of sound designers, composers and producers at Machine’s London office have built long-standing creative partnerships with clients in the US; with the doors now open for business at Machine’s Flatiron studios, the New York team is excited to build on the company’s global reputation and welcome clients to its new space. The technologically advanced studios have been purposefully built and equipped for fluid, creative collaboration, whether in person or remotely across the globe.
At the helm of Machine’s venture into the US film & advertising community is executive producer Matej Oreskovic. Having worked at some of the industry’s leading sound and music companies, he joined Machine’s London team in 2018, leading the company’s evolution from a boutique studio to an award-winning, transatlantic audio company.
Alongside Matej is senior sound designer and mixer, Michalis Anthis. Michalis joins the New York team with over ten years of experience in sound design, composition and mixing. Having honed his craft at multi award-winning studios Big Kahuna & 750mph, Michalis’ body of work includes celebrated films for Samsung, Rapha and The Winter Olympics, for which he has been awarded at Ciclope, LIA, Creative Circle, The Music+Sound Awards, The AICP Show and The British Arrows. Acclaimed projects for McDonald’s, Delta Airlines, Oakley and Lurpak also rank amongst Michalis’ myriad sound and music credits.
Michalis said of the move, “I am thrilled to be joining Machine's roster for their new venture in NYC. This is an incredible opportunity for new creative endeavours, working alongside a fresh and talented team.”
“I have been a fan of Michalis' work for some time now,” said NY EP Matej, “and I'm thrilled we finally have a chance to work together. After a week in the studios it felt like everyone knew each other for years. We have a brand new space, a young ambitious team and passion for our craft! We can't wait to roll up our sleeves and show what we can bring to the table.”
US managing director of the Final Cut Group, Justin Brukman, said of the company’s launch in NY, “We are very excited to be introducing some fresh and insanely talented people to the New York market. Building upon our heritage and passion for craft and creative excellence, our studios’ technological innovations will allow us to be even more nimble as we continue to provide creative solutions across all mediums.”
