Every person in advertising and production - creatives, directors, colourists, producers and more - now has a true, free-of-charge home for their work, thanks to a new feature of our smart Creative Library, writes Matt Cooper, CEO at Little Black Book

Something you may have heard is that we at Little Black Book have spent the last six months - though it feels like years! - converting every single credit that has ever been given to us into a smart, clickable entity

You can read more about why we have done this here, but ultimately it is for the benefit of our industry and your business, and to improve the way that you research creative work and talent.

Given the scale of this process, we have been releasing each element in stages. The next stage involves you, our LBB users.

If you have ever been credited on campaigns or music videos that have appeared on LBB, you can - and we encourage you to - personalise your LBB creative profile. This process will take no more than one minute of your time and will offer massive benefits to businesses AND the talent that they employ. The same goes for the masses of freelance talent within our industry. This will make it easier to promote talent to potential clients - and for clients to find new collaborators.

Anyway, this involves three super simple steps. They are:

1. Click here, hit PEOPLE and search for your name.
2. Click ‘This is me’ when you have found your name.
    a) If you are logged in, our team will confirm your claim swiftly.
    b) If you are a user but aren’t logged in, please do so - then our team will get to your claim.
    c) If you don’t have a login to LBB, simply make one - this takes a few seconds.
3. Add a picture to your login and confirm your job title.

Bonus step: Share this worthwhile endeavour with your peers and pals in the industry!

This process will tie your LBB credits to your LBB login, producing a living, breathing, free-to-view archive of your work. Think of it like IMDb, but for the advertising industry - and for you, no matter your seniority and experience.

To help you visualise what all of this means, here are three examples of people that have already personalised their LBB creative profile by linking it to their credit.

Joanna Monteiro, chief creative officer at Publicis Canada
Chris Turner, senior sound designer and director at Jungle
Biff Butler, editor at Work Editorial
Andrew 'Barnsley' Wood, partner and executive creative director at Rascal Post Production

So, please click away! Find yourself, it will help with business. Oh, and if you can’t find yourself, it may be worth getting more of your work on LBB.

If you have any questions or experience any issues, please email archive@lbbonline.com.

Thanks

Matt Cooper
