Building on its existing commitment to sustainable and socially responsible practices, Hey Honey announces its participation in the United Nations Global Compact to further accelerate its efforts.
This announcement, coinciding with the Global Compact's 25th anniversary, highlights the agency’s dedication to aligning its operations with the UN's Ten Principles and the Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on core areas of human rights, labour standards, environmental responsibility, and anti-corruption.
The agency has also pledged its commitment to the "Forward Faster" initiative, which aims to accelerate progress towards the SDGs. The initiative specifically targets critical areas for accelerated impact:
- Gender Equality: Commitment to equal representation and pay, and advocacy for gender equality
- Climate Action: Implementation of measures to reduce the agency’s carbon footprint and support a just transition to sustainability.
- Living Wage: Promotion of fair compensation and living wage standards throughout the agency’s sphere of influence.
- Water Resilience: Efforts to minimise water footprint and contribute to water resource conservation.
- Finance and Investment: Alignment of financial decisions and investments with the SDGs.
Recognising that stronger connections produce better and more sustainable outcomes, Hey Honey has evolved from a traditional client management approach to a partnership model which prioritises building longer-term, more collaborative relationships with clients. The decision to join the UN Global Compact reflects the agency's understanding of the significance these partnerships hold to influence brands, communities, and individuals towards sustainable practices over the long term.
"Hey Honey recognises the role we play as a creative partner to global brands. We have the power to influence and use creativity to drive positive change," said Chris Adams, founder and chief impact officer. "Our participation in the UN Global Compact and commitment to 'Forward Faster' demonstrates our dedication to using that power responsibly. The UN Global Compact provides us with the framework, commitments, and resources we need to use our business as a force for good."
By joining the UN Global Compact, Hey Honey becomes part of a global network of organisations committed to building a sustainable future. The agency is proud to announce its participation during the Global Compact's 25th anniversary.
