Filmmakers Unveil the Magic Behind the Camera at 'Secret Sauce'
The inaugural edition of Secret Sauce, a live director talk event created by acclaimed filmmaker and VFX artist Anthony Rubinstein, brought the creative community together for an unforgettable night of raw insights, behind-the-scenes revelations, and vibrant networking. The event was presented in collaboration with Lemonade Reps, known for championing standout creative talent across film and advertising.
Secret Sauce is built on the belief that in filmmaking, there are no secrets - only shared experience, honest process, and the power of collaboration. The event offered a unique opportunity to hear directly from four visionary directors as they deconstructed their recent work, from technical innovations to unexpected breakthroughs.

Attendees were treated to an intimate, inspiring look at the creative process - from camera tricks and on-set chaos to the happy accidents that brought the final stories to life. Following the talks, guests mingled in the bar area to music by DJ Smash of Radio Smash, Berlin, creating the perfect space for connection and creative exchange.
In the spirit of giving back, 10% of ticket proceeds were donated to The FireFlies Tour, raising vital funds for The Blood Fund, which supports pioneering research into treatments for leukaemia and blood cancers at London’s Hammersmith Hospital.
Anthony Rubinstein shared, “Filmmaking is a team sport. Secret Sauce is about demystifying the process, celebrating the chaos, and passing on what we’ve learned. It was an honour to share space with such open, talented storytellers - and the incredible crowd that showed up.”
