Acclaimed director Scott Perry has signed with JOJX, an award-winning production company renowned for its innovative and creative commercial work. With a deep-rooted understanding of cultural movement across music, fashion and art, Scott crafts compelling human-driven narratives that make him a natural fit for JOJX’s growing roster of visionary filmmakers.

Scott’s approach to filmmaking is rooted in culture and defined by his intuitive grasp of emotion, character and visual storytelling. Often described as ‘human storytelling’, his work thrives on intimacy, tension and authenticity – capturing moments that feel as raw as they are cinematic. Whether directing commercials, documentaries or branded content, Scott’s goal remains the same: “to connect with audiences through real, unfiltered emotion”.

“Sevi, Joe and Jackson are the reason I came to JOJX,” says Scott. “They have an incredible sense of taste and experience that I know I can learn from. They’ve built exactly the sort of supportive and creative environment that I was looking for. I’m excited to refine my vision and push my work even further with them.”

New York-born and based, Scott’s journey into filmmaking started with a love for music. His early blog covering underground hip-hop quickly gained traction, leading him to XM Radio, MTV and eventually, to a role as creative director at The FADER and working with its in-house agency, Cornerstone. There, he directed campaigns for brands like Beats by Dre and YouTube Music, Jack Daniels, New Balance and Soundcloud, while also collaborating with artists such as Burna Boy, Dua Lipa and Khalid. He has since gone on to direct work for The New York Times and Droga5 – contributing to their well-loved and award-winning Independent Journalism for an Independent Life series – as well as campaigns for McDonalds, Asics, Google, Nike, Amazon and more.

His ability to spot cultural shifts and translate them into visually-arresting stories led him to helm campaigns for fashion and luxury brands like Diesel, and lead the launch of Good Morning Vogue – Vogue’s fashion news show – which amassed over 15.4 million followers and featured standout cultural talents like Lil Nas X, Kendall Jenner and A$AP Ferg. Perry has also directed projects featuring Serena Williams for Nike, Major Lazer for an Amazon Music documentary and trap artist Anuel for an Apple doc, cementing his reputation as a director who can seamlessly navigate different genres and industries.
