The dance documentary Elegy, directed by renowned choreographer and filmmaker Kitty McNamee, has been selected to screen at the Newport Beach Film Festival. As part of the festival’s A Little Dance. A Lot of Dance. The Camera Catches It All program, Elegy will be shown on Thursday, October 24th, 2024, at 8:00 PM.
Set against the breathtaking landscapes of Taos, New Mexico, Elegy explores the profound intersection of nature, philosophy, and personal reflection. The film follows Zak, who, amidst the beauty of the Taos mesa, is compelled to reevaluate his life and choices. At its heart, Elegy conveys the message that true creativity can only emerge by reconnecting with nature and remaining true to one's authentic self.
As Elegy continues to garner attention on the international film festival circuit, it will soon be available for online release, allowing an even wider audience to experience its powerful meditation on creativity, self-discovery, and our connection to the natural world.
