Curate has announce the addition of Danish animation studio Tumblehead to its roster. Founded in 2011, Tumblehead is renowned for its innovative approach to 3D animation and storytelling, consistently pushing the boundaries of visual communication with their quintessential Nordic animation style.
With offices in Viborg and Copenhagen, Tumblehead delivers vibrant and original content across all media, including TV shows, features, shorts, and commercials. The studio has collaborated with global clients such as Google, YouTube, LEGO, Telltale Games, and Sony.
Tumblehead's portfolio boasts acclaimed projects like Rob 'n' Ron (2013), Martin Luther (2017), and Tales from the Multiverse (2020) and Turbulence (2024), made using Houdini’s character rigging and animation tools. Their most recent short film, The Swineherd, produced in partnership with Fleng Entertainment, garnered a nomination for Best Short Subject at the 2025 Annie Awards, marking a significant milestone in their creative journey.
Dan Dickensen, managing director at Curate said, "We’re ridiculously excited to welcome Tumblehead to the Curate Films roster- an award-winning animation studio that’s basically what would happen if Pixar, Adult Swim, and Wes Anderson had a beautifully strange baby."
Tumblehead shared, "We joined the Curate roster because where else can a bunch of Danish weirdos with a love for dancing llamas, exploding cupcakes, and emotionally complex robots feel truly at home? Curate gets us, which is both comforting and slightly alarming. We love it here."
