Rebecca replaces Wayne Bulpitt CBE who has chaired the charity for the past eight years

The Diana Award has announced Rebecca Crook as its new chair of trustees. Rebecca replaces Wayne Bulpitt CBE who has chaired the charity for the past eight years.

Rebecca Crook, from Brighton, is a digital expert who is passionate that young people are supported and have the opportunity to develop. She has worked as a business and digital mentor for young people and brings extensive charitable experience to The Diana Award.  

Rebecca co-founded and chaired Saltdean Lido CIC for six years successfully fundraising over £5million and bringing the pool and building back into use for the local community. With an interest in heritage and culture she has previously sat on the National Trust strategic advisory board as well as London Transport Museum board. She is currently a trustee with the Royal Pavilion and Museums Trust where she chairs the Enterprise committee, overseeing five sites across Brighton and Hove, as well as being a Trustee with the Martlets hospice.

Her expertise will be invaluable. I’d like to acknowledge the phenomenal contribution from our previous chair Wayne Bulpitt. Wayne has been at the forefront of the growth of The Diana Award over the years – his commitment to young people is immense.”  

Speaking about her new role, Rebecca Crook, said, “I am delighted and privileged to be announced as incoming chair of The Diana Award. I have always had an interest in supporting young people to reach their potential from being a business mentor with The Prince’s Trust for a number of years to currently being a mentor across the technology sector supporting young talent. I’m looking forward to working with The Diana Award to further progress their impactful and ground breaking work for young people.”
