Covert is expanding its palette to include an eclectic ensemble of colourists

As 2024 unfurls, Covert is not just scaling up; it's diving deep into the chromatic waters, expanding its palette to include an eclectic ensemble of colourists.

Covert colourist Olha Korzhynska

Amidst the new roster is Olha Korzhynska, whose journey through the sphere of colour grading spans 16 years and traces back to the tactile, grainy world of film photography. In an era dominated by digital immediacy, Olha stands as a guardian of the cinematic tradition, a time traveller who has seamlessly bridged the gap between the rich, organic textures of yesteryears and the pixel-perfect precision of today's digital canvas.

Each frame she touches is imbued with a narrative depth, making her work visually stunning and emotionally resonant.

Olha's journey has seen her traverse the globe, leaving a trail of chromatic enchantment from the hallowed halls of Berlinale to the sun-drenched Riviera of Cannes.

Jonathan Lieb

But wait, there is more. With his roots in the industrial landscapes of Sunderland, Jonathan Lieb brings a narrative depth to his colour grading that's as textured as the stories he's helping to tell. Whether it's a documentary's gritty realism or the commercial's polished sheen, Jonathan's work is a journey through light and shadow.

Hannah Squires, on the other hand, is weaving tales with a touch of vintage glamour, making each frame she touches not just seen but felt. Her expertise in Davinci Resolve is like a time machine, taking us back to an era where every colour told a story.

Cristina Giribets

Harley Spence, Cristina Giribets, Burak Ozturk, Stef Colosi, and Stepan Kozlov round off this multifarious group, each bringing their unique flavour to the Covert mix. Harley Spence dashes through the creative spectrum, leaping from the edgy cuts of music videos to the polished narratives of big brand commercials. Harley's portfolio, peppered with work for trailblazers like Adidas Global and the tech titan Apple, showcases a versatility that's as dynamic as the brands themselves.

Cristina Giribets, on the other hand, paints with a palette of emotions, crafting visual stories that resonate deeply with audiences. Her work, a canvas where light plays with shadow to tell tales, has graced campaigns for the likes of luxury timepiece titan Tissot and skincare luminary Elemis, weaving narratives that linger long after the screen fades to black.

Burak Ozturk, the seasoned artist of the mix, brings a depth of experience and a breadth of knowledge that's as vast as his client list. With a history of collaborations that include the drama-soaked frames of "A Town Called Malice" and the poignant storytelling of documentaries like "Elephant Mother," Burak's expertise is an asset.

Stef Colosi

Stef Colosi, with a flair for the cinematic that could rival any auteur, infuses each project with a sense of grandeur and scale. His work, which has added depth and drama to campaigns for fashion behemoths like Dior and Calvin Klein, showcases an ability to elevate brand narratives into the realm of art.

And then there's Stepan Kozlov, where VFX and colour grading converge, crafting visuals that defy expectations. Stepan's alchemy has transformed projects for giants in the athletic and luxury sectors, such as Nike and Yves Saint Laurent, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy with each frame.

So, what does all this mean for Covert? It's not just about growth; it's about blooming in every hue imaginable. Covert is stepping out of the shadows and casting a whole new light. And from the looks of it, it's going to be a wild ride.
