Commercialize TV has announced the appointment of Jimmy Au as executive vice-president Content for Asia Pacific.
Commercialize TV delivers video to consumers and allows brands to reach quality audiences at scale.
Brought up in the United States and having lived in China for 15 years, Au has a unique insight into the connection between Eastern and Western culture.
During his time in the content industry, Au has developed a network of acclaimed artists, celebrities, musicians, cross-platform media groups, and brand and corporate CEOs.
Commercialize TV CEO Craig Galvin said Au’s appointment brings a greater level of local relevance for audiences and was a significant step in the company’s aggressive expansion.
“Jimmy’s appointment adds considerably to our capabilities; his knowledge, skills and passion will help drive our ambitions into becoming a leader in digital content within the region. CTV is at an incredibly exciting time, with Baidu and YouTube we have established the springboard and now with Jimmy on board we are accelerating to succeed,” Galvin said.
Au said he would bring a keen eye for trends and a vast network of contacts to the role.
“I consider myself a savvy entrepreneur with leadership skills and an eye for spotting new trends before they emerge. Having been in the industry of creating and managing trend setting events in and around Asia for over 13 years, I’ve been helping corporations boost both their sales and their reputation in and around markets including China,” Au said.
