The Immortal Awards has announced that Boomtown Productions will be the Middle East and African (MEA) jury partner for the 2024 competition.
The newly formed partnership sees the dynamic production and film services experts supporting this year’s MEA jury day, which will take place in Dubai in October.
Leading names from the region’s brand, agency, production and post worlds will come together to identify the best of MEA creativity from the previous 12 months, showcasing the projects and the people behind them to a global audience.
Shane Martin, chief executive of Boomtown Productions, says, “In an already overcrowded and over competitive awards calendar, The Immortal Awards stand out as something more real, more tangible, more credible. Great juries, regionally focussed with a global dimension and, importantly, free to enter are all big advantages that set The Immortal Awards apart. At Boomtown we believe in the power of creativity, The Immortal Awards offers us the opportunity to help organise and be associated with the show that awards the region’s truly outstanding creative work.”
Paul Monan, awards director of The Immortal Awards, says, “Over our six years of competition, the work that we’ve seen coming out of this region has been incredible and is getting better every year. We’re delighted to be partnering with Shane and the team at Boomtown to push the region’s work to a bigger audience globally. The guys know what it’s like to be part of an Immortal winning project, being part of a winner with us back in 2020, so it’s a partnership that we’re genuinely thrilled to see come to fruition.”
On what he’s looking forward to about this year’s jury day, Shane adds, “Getting to watch and celebrate the region's best work in the company of some of the brightest creative minds in a convivial and creative atmosphere. A nice opportunity to stand back and enjoy the show. The region continues to grow creatively with some great campaigns over the last few years and an increase in international awards and recognition. The region is young, creative, ambitious and driven to make outstanding work in a dynamic and competitive environment where everything moves fast. The advertising industry, like the economy, has to be agile, adaptable and innovative.”
