The agencies will support YUAF in a variety of ways including fundraising, strategy, marketing, creative and production

Amplify the global marketing agency that joins the dots between people, brands and culture along with its sibling agency Seed, a global creative agency specialising in youth and next gen - have partnered with the Young Urban Arts Foundation - a grass roots London based charity whose mission is to empower the lives of young people by strengthening their wellbeing and building opportunities, through creativity and culture, ensuring they are seen, heard and celebrated.

The partnership, starting with immediate effect, is part of both agencies' ongoing mission to connect with, enable and champion young creative talent from all walks of life. The agencies’ will support YUAF in a variety of ways including fundraising, strategy, marketing, creative and production as well as internships for YUAF cohorts. The partnership also provides the opportunity for ongoing mentoring through the agencies’ talent across departments and ranks.

Born in 2009 from the vision of Indigo Reign, one of the first female Drum & Bass MCs, YUAF has since touched over 22,000 young lives across the capital and is known for delivering empowering and creative outreach workshops. The charity targets hard to reach areas where young people don’t have access to opportunities and are at high risk of child exploitation or becoming a victim of crime. In a city where youth funding has been slashed, its work is a vital lifeline bringing hope and inspiration into communities starved of opportunity.

The charity’s team of musical alchemists – producers, songwriters, lyricists, and visual artists hit the streets, estates and schools, delivering beat-making workshops, topline writing sessions and podcast recording classes via its tricked-out double-decker outreach media bus, equipped with state- of-the-art music studios, and a multimedia recording suite. YUAF also connects young creatives with training and work experiences in an often impenetrable job market. They prove that creativity isn't a luxury, but a necessity – a vital tool for growth in challenging times.

Amplify and Seed chose to support YUAF as part of their ongoing commitment to support fresh talent from all walks of life, whilst creating much needed opportunities for marginalised communities that don’t often have the same access to the creative industries.

Seed’s managing director, Jen Anderson, said, “At Seed we are passionate about investing in and championing young people. We’re delighted to support YUAF, a truly innovative grassroots charity that in a time when arts and youth funding has been reduced and youth centres are closing is providing a vital lifeline bringing hope and inspiration into communities. Seed’s vision is ‘To empower and elevate the next generation, placing their voices and passions at the heart of everything we do.’ We see our partnership as a reflection of this.”

YUAF’s founder Kerry O’Brien added, “Amplify and Seed are incredible agencies, doing great things supporting people from all backgrounds coming into the creative industries. They understand the power of music and creativity and their ability to create safe havens, increase well being and change lives. I’m so excited to see what amazing things we can achieve together.”
