Following the appointment of Josh Stein to chief creative officer last year, the agency has been steadily building out its creative team to meet growing client needs in the English market

LG2's Toronto office has a new creative communications team. Following the appointment of Josh Stein to chief creative officer last year, the agency has been steadily building out its creative team to meet growing client needs in the English market. As the office reaches its tenth anniversary, the renewed creative strength in its advertising team will continue to work in tandem with branding and design, digital, and architecture teams to create unified, sustainable brand experiences for organisations of all sizes.

The new team includes a lineup of strong creative talent: 

  • Darby Clarke, sr. copywriter and Alexandra McGuirk-Penedo, sr. art director – an award-winning duo previously at Forsman & Bodenfors whose award-winning work includes “The Body Bag for Her. 
  • Kyle Winsor, sr. art director – the seasoned art director previously of Cossette, Arrivals + Departures, and Zulu Alpha Kilo is partnering up with LG2's sr. copywriter Scott Hildebrant. 
  • Mnrupe Virk, copywriter – a trailblazing copywriter formerly of Rethink whose work has won at the Marketing Awards, Shopper Innovation Awards, ADCC, D&AD, and Applied Arts among others.
  • Verity Badov, copywriter and Natasha Miller, art director – recent OCAD and Miami Ad School graduates who recently took home gold from the 2024 National Advertising Competition for their “WishedIn concept. 
  • Kaamil Lakhani, content producer – an accomplished creative producer and social media strategist who has worked freelance on brands Don Julio 1942, Frizbowl, PushPounds) and live content production The Juno Awards, Gary Vaynerchuk).
  • Natalie Totayo, resource manager – coming from the film production house Animals, Natalie is a coordinator, project manager and executive assistant rolled into one.

Between myself and my CCO peers in the other offices, were ensuring that they can keep on delivering exceptional brand experience work across the country.” said Josh Stein, partner and chief creative officer, Toronto, LG2.

The appointments follow a streak of new client wins including Ontario Cannabis Store OCS, Keilhauer, Chicken Farmers of Canada, YZD (the Redevelopment of the Downsview Airport), Guayaki Yerba Mate, EY, Cavendish Farms, iGaming, Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, and expanded English Canadian mandates for National Bank. Together with LG2's Toronto branding and design, strategy, content, client services and production teams, the office totals 51 people.

LG2 has recently received the Scarlet Letter for Design Agency of the Year by the Advertising and Design Club of Canada and received the silver medal in Strategy’s Design Agency of the Year category. The company also recently received its B Corp certification.
