Partizan has tapped George Mitchinson as head of new business. With over five years of experience across film, TV production and advertising post-production, George combines industry know-how with creativity and initiative.
George cut his teeth at Electric Theatre Collective, soaking up the ins and outs of the advertising industry and post-production, whilst working on standout campaigns including projects with Partizan directors Antoine Bardou-Jacquet and Michael Gracey.
With a BA Hons in Filmmaking under his belt, George got his foot firmly in the door working as an assistant to Danny Boyle, spending nearly a year on his show Pistol. A subsequent venture into assistant directing led him to a stint on set with the hunky George Clooney and a little boogie round the Barbican with Harry Styles, eventually leading him to Electric Theatre Collective.
"I started working in advertising at Electric with Lee Pavey and Jess Purton, they got me up to speed and threw me into the middle of it all”, said George. “I loved every moment but when the opportunity to work at Partizan arose, I couldn’t say no. It feels like a proper full circle moment for me. The chance to work with directors like theirs is very very exciting. I’m looking forward to sinking my teeth into it all and helping craft this next chapter with the wonderful humans of Partizan.”
“George brings a really exciting energy into the mix. Pair that with his creativity and commitment to talent, and he’s a brilliant addition to Partizan.” added Jenny Beckett, managing director and executive producer.
