A new film for electronics retailer Komplett dramatically encapsulates the feeling of having your gaming session interrupted.
Created by Anorak Oslo and directed by Jakob Marky through Bacon OSL, the video starts out looking like the climactic scene from a Western. After robbing a train, two friends become pinned down in a small town by a Mexican army. Things look bleak but the pair are ready to meet their fate together. But then the drama takes a left turn. It’s dinnertime for Jonas and he has to leave the action or face the wrath of his mother.
Komplett is one of the biggest electronics and gaming equipment online stores in the Nordics (Norway, Sweden & Denmark). This video is a part of the Anorak’s first campaign for them – which is all about taking side of the gamer. The first step is starting by bridging the gap between gamers and non-gamers.
“You can't just leave in the middle of the football match just because it's dinner. And you can't just push pause and leave a dying friend in need,” said creative director Jens-Petter Aarhus.
