The VIA Agency announced today that it has hired Leeann Leahy as President and General Manager, a new position at the agency. Leahy, who is relocating to Portland from New York City, takes up her post in December and will report directly to VIA founder and CEO John Coleman.
“Leeann’s phenomenal track record speaks for itself,” said Coleman. “From helping to grow Translation nearly three times in size in just two years, to resurrecting Lowe NY with an unprecedented new business streak, her illustrious career working with top agencies and brands makes her a stellar addition to our management team. I could not be happier for her to add her talents to VIA.”
Leahy joins VIA from Translation, where she held the position of President for nearly two years. When she joined Translation, the agency numbered 30 employees and just a handful of accounts. Twenty months later, Translation employs 100 people on accounts including Bud Light, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, and State Farm. Previously, Leahy was the Chief Strategy Officer of Lowe NY, where, during an 11-month period, she helped lead the shop to secure six impressive new business wins. Additionally, Leahy spent nine years at Margeotes | Fertitta + Partners building out the planning department. Leahy also did tours at kbs+ and Saatchi & Saatchi in the early days of her impressive career.
“VIA has had an incredible amount of positive traction over the last few years from both a new business and talent perspective, Leahy said. “I appreciate that the agency cares deeply about making bold moves on behalf of its clients and offering smart and creative solutions, and I am excited to jump in and help take the agency to the next level.”
