Doe-Anderson campaign drives preference and affinity for Valley Health among the people of Shenandoah Valley

A warmth and light gives this Valley Health campaign a reason to smile and to thank their staff, community, and patients with a sincere toast to all who make Valley Health system a great place. Doe-Anderson worked with Valley Health, located in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and surrounding areas in West Virginia and Maryland, to encapsulate the spirit of the system that has risen out of the difficult past years that all healthcare systems have faced with covid, and staffing stress. “We want to show all the strength and resilience of our teams at Valley Health as well as thank our community by saying, “Here’s to you!” according to Carrie Manuel, director of marketing and communications at Valley Health.

The campaign theme’s narrative, “Here’s to You. Here’s to all of us who call this region home,” illustrates how the people of the Valley share much more than a zip code, beautiful vistas, and a peaceful lifestyle – it’s a bond of caring.

“It’s definitely about the people. We believe our wellbeing is connected here and that the strength of our community begins with health. That’s why the 6,000 dedicated caregivers at Valley Health want you to feel right at home while we help make you well again,” said Valley Health’s chief strategy and chief marketing officer, Chris Rucker. “Simply put, the way we care for each other is special. Valley [Health] strives to bring personal, comfortable care and commitment to your overall well-being. And that’s how we care.”

Doe-Anderson’s research found that currently 73% of people in the Shenandoah Valley, a region that includes Virginia and West Virginia healthcare systems, have a positive perception of Valley Health. And 68% would consider it for their future needs. Using Cable TV, Connected TV, Online Video, YouTube and Digital Display, the campaign seeks to drive preference and affinity for the system by giving Valley Health a strong, unified meaning with a deep, emotional connection that is unique to Valley Health. The work highlights patients who are friends, neighbours and family, people that Valley Health celebrates and protects in their tight knit community by preserving and celebrating the unique things that make them, them.

Doe Anderson president and chief creative officer Leyla Touma Dailey noted: “This campaign focuses on the “why” not “what.” At the end of the day, it’s all about protecting the people Valley Health knows and loves and showing them that Valley Health provides care to not only keep people healthy but also to keep them doing the things they love and the things that make them who they are. Personalised, compassionate care that proves how well Valley Health knows its community.”
