Tony Lederer has joined Publicis New York as EVP, head of strategy, effective immediately. Lederer is tasked with leading strategy for Citi’s Power of One bespoke brand solution, which brings together agency partners from across Publicis Groupe. He reports to Carla Serrano, Publicis NY CEO and global chief strategy officer of Publicis Groupe, and Patty Sachs, president and global client lead for Citi.
“Publicis has led the industry in developing its integrated Power of One model which brings together consulting, innovation, data, creative, digital experience, media, CRM and more through one unified team for clients,” said Lederer. “It’s rare to have this level of partnership with clients where you are tackling some of their most complex business problems by designing a total strategic solution. It’s exciting, it’s challenging, and it’s liberating to be able to harness the total power of Publicis Groupe.”
Prior to joining Publicis, Lederer was chief strategy officer at The&Partnership, working with brands including Amazon, The Coca-Cola Company, Mars and The Wall Street Journal. He has also held strategy and digital leadership roles at Grey New York, IMG and Cohn & Wolfe.
“Tony’s experience across strategy, digital and financial services will elevate how the Power of One model comes to life for Citi,” said Sachs. “Our brand-centric model allows us to dig deep into our client’s business challenges, and I’m excited to see Tony do this in partnership with Citi to take its marketing in new directions.”
