With the summer season well underway, the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (whose mission is to protect individuals against the risks inherent in use of the road and contribute to the enforcement of several laws and regulations) in partnership with LG2, wishes to raise awareness among motorists about the consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or cannabis. Consuming even the smallest amounts carries a risk when you get behind the wheel. The campaign encourages the adoption of responsible habits by presenting various options to safely make it home.
The ‘No Drugs and Driving’ online spot provides one concrete solution: a pop-up designated driver service created specially for the offensive. The No. 420 car chauffeurs partygoers safely home, even if they’ve consumed cannabis, for a fixed fare of $4.20. The vivid green car has everything to keep the party going: inside passengers enjoy festive music and all-you-can-eat snacks. A radio spot, for its part, focuses on ‘Don’t Drink and Drive,’ demonstrating that when it comes to evaluating your ability to drive, calculations are useless. There’s only one simple rule: When you drink or smoke, you don’t drive.
