Philadelphia-based agency The Perception launches latest film in the 'A Fan of Change' campaign

In the lead up to Super Bowl LVII and in honour of National Gun Violence Survivors Week, The Philadelphia Eagles are launching a new film as part of its 'A Fan of Change' campaign featuring a local poet and gun violence survivor Ja’Nell Hall - Ragin.

As part of the Eagles’ ongoing efforts to help combat the gun violence crisis in Philadelphia, A Fan Of Change (AFOC) is a multi-faceted campaign focused on breaking the cycles of poverty and violence in the local community and beyond.

2022 Philadelphia faced its most deadly year yet, with homicide numbers surpassing the city’s high for the second year in a row. As a result, The Eagles called upon Philadelphia-based agency The Perception last year to help them promote the idea that the Eagles did not want to sit on the sidelines as Philadelphians were dying. The 2022 campaign was called 'Enough Keeping Score'.

The agency was tapped once again for the latest evolution of the effort in 'A Fan of Change'. This year's goal was to take the campaign to the next level by bringing actual people who have been impacted by violence, into the actual creation of the campaign.

At the heart of the new campaign is a 90-second film narrated by local Philadelphian, artist, actress and poet Ja’Nell Hall-Ragin. Ja’Nell, who lost her brother to gun violence, reads her poem highlighting the pride and pain that Philadelphia experiences with images of people from organizations working to enact change.
