After the award-winning international films, The Entrance and The Date, Heineken launches a brand new ad from its global Open Your World campaign. In The Switch, a Heineken Legend and his friends end up in what has to be the sleaziest bar in the grim urban outskirts of town in the middle of the night. It's seems to be the wrong place, but it serves the right beer.
The star of the commercial is Heineken’s draught beer served by a bartender who certainly knows the tricks of the trade to ensure the perfect beer gets the perfect serve. This pouring ritual leads to an amazing stir of events.
Adding to the atmosphere is the musical score Love Letter by Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes, the Australian soul train sensation who makes her first appearance in a commercial. And quite a spectacular one indeed.
The Switch was created by TBWA\NEBOKO – the Amsterdam-based advertising agency for Heineken in the Netherlands – and was directed by Martin Krejci from Stink London. The film was shot in Prague, on a set that was specially hand-built to deliver the spectacle in real time.
