10 great student shorts, spanning spec ads to music videos screened to capacity audience at Shiny’s first awards dedicated to student work.
’People couldn’t believe it was student work’ said Caroline Bottomley, Shiny MD ‘There was so much great feedback - someone admitted the thought of seeing student shorts filled them a leaden dread, but in fact they had an absolutely and unexpectedly enjoyable experience’.

As always with Shiny’s screening, c70% of the shortlist was work from under-represented directors. The winners were announced at the event by Jo Arteaga, Creative Director at Draftline, Parm Singh, EP at Draftline, Christopher Reed, head of Production at Draftline and Belinda Grew, Production Director at Absolute.
