Rethink’s Aaron Starkman, FCB’s Nancy Crimi-Lamanna and Dentsu Creative’s Jordan Doucette among those to feature on this year’s Canada jury at Little Black Book’s global advertising award, supported by Zulu Alpha Kilo
The Immortal Awards has revealed the names of the advertising leaders who will sit on the 2024 Canada jury.

The jury will convene in Toronto on November 5th for the Canada jury day, which this year is being supported by Zulu Alpha Kilo. The jury will decide which projects, if any, will be crowned the best of Canadian advertising and go on to represent the market in the regional round of North American judging.

Joining the group are standout creatives and leaders from across the brand, agency, production and post worlds.

Having picked up both an Immortal Award - the first-ever awarded to Canada - and a Commendation last year, Rethink will feature and be represented by Aaron Starkman.

There is a strong agency contingent on the jury this year, including Edelman Canada’s Anthony Chelvanathan, FCB Toronto’s Nancy Crimi-Lamanna, Dentsu Creative’s Jordan Doucette, McCann Canada’s Amanda ‘AJ’ Jones, and Zulu Alpha Kilo’s Brian Murray.

Brands are represented by Pizza Pizza’s  Adrian Fuoco and Kruger’s Susan Irving, as well as Damon Crate from Kraft-Heinz's in-house agency The Kitchen.

Fela, Little Black Book’s #1 Canadian Production Company of the Year 2023, will feature with Taj Critchlow, whilst Fort York’s Pallavi Joshi-Firby completes the jury as a post production representative.

The Immortal Awards 2024 Canada Jury has been announced as follows:

  • Anthony Chelvanathan, chief creative officer, Edelman Canada
  • Damon Crate, creative director, The Kitchen
  • Nancy Crimi-Lamanna, chief creative officer, FCB Toronto
  • Taj Critchlow, founder, Fela
  • Jordan Doucette, president and chief creative officer, Dentsu Creative Canada
  • Adrian Fuoco, chief marketing officer, Pizza Pizza
  • Susan Irving, chief marketing officer, Kruger
  • Amanda ‘AJ’ Jones, chief strategy officer, McCann Canada
  • Pallavi Joshi-Firby, executive producer, Fort York
  • Brian Murray, chief creative officer, Zulu Alpha Kilo
  • Aaron Starkman, global chief creative officer, Rethink

Commenting on the jury, Paul Monan, awards director at The Immortal Awards, says, “This will be our third year running the Canadian jury day in person, thanks to the continued support of Zulu Alpha Kilo. Over the years that we've been running the day, we've seen many truly incredible pieces of Canadian creativity, culminating in the market's first ever Immortal Award last year. This is one of the fiercest, most competitive jury days on our calendar and we can't wait to see what our jury thinks of this year's body of work.”

Further regional and local juries will also be announced in the coming weeks.

The Immortal Awards entry system is now open and entries into competition will be accepted until September 5th 2024. All entries must be made for a commissioning client, and must have first aired, broadcast, displayed, launched or published between September 1st 2023 and August 31st 2024.
