In the lead-up to the UK Creative Festival in Margate, September 2022, LBB and UK Creative Festival will be sharing some of the most inspiring panel discussions from the past year. 

With the world at a standstill in early 2020, the pandemic showed how the absence of activity produced a cleaner world. Now, brands are rising to the pressure of tackling the climate crisis. As the industry is urged to meet conscious consumers in the middle, companies are tasked with developing greener practices. In September 2022, influential British creatives spoke on key issues. The UKCF now wants to share the insight and inspiration of its esteemed panellists for all to access. 

 

In this instalment of published talks, host Laura Swinton, editor-in-chief at LBB is joined by Steve Davies, CEO at the Advertising Production Association, Darren Khan, CEO and founder of Travlrr, and Steve Pitts, divisional director at Tag Worldwide.

 

The panellists expand on how planning is a critical production step and why it took a pandemic for people to start thinking about their environmental impact. They also discuss the uncertainty of returning to on-site production in a post-pandemic world, dismantling the misconceptions on the price of sustainability, and why future budgets can’t sustain creatives traveling for shoots.
