ŠKODA has released a new series of micro movies to highlight the features of their in-car technology system, ŠKODA Connect. The narrative of each film is based around a different hi-tech feature, and condensed into under 30 seconds - perfect for the average attention span on social media.
The four movies were directed by up-and-coming director Fergal Costello and star Peter McGann (Republic of Telly), Amy Hughes (We’re Doomed! The Dad’s Army Story), Tommy O’Neill (Fair City) and feature the voice of comedian, Tony Cantwell.
Created by Boys + Girls and produced by Jumper Productions, each movie plays off the look, feel and tropes of a different well-known movie genre. These include teen drama, heist movie, action film and revenge thriller.
Boys + Girls content lead, Sam Moorhead, says: “Filmmaking is so important in modern Ireland, with so many talented young filmmakers and directors getting their work out there via social media. So, we thought collaborating with some of these filmmakers was the perfect way to create fun and entertaining content, which was in line with ŠKODA’s Made for a New Ireland strategy.”
