Talents bring 'street' sophistication to the production company's roster
Production company Serial Pictures has signed two directors to its growing US roster, Bruce St. Clair and Chris Searl. Both directors are now represented by Serial according to Founding Partner/EP Violaine Etienne and EP Michel Waxman.

European director Bruce St. Clair, formerly with Biscuit, is known for his highly composed imagery filled with humanity on spots for Audi, Toyota, Vodafone, MINI and many more. “Serial Pictures has high visual standards and an incredible group of directors,” St. Clair notes, adding that the company is a great fit for his authentic, “street” directing style, as well as his extensive experience in automotive advertising.

St. Clair’s work has received recognition at top advertising festivals including Cannes Lions, Clios and D&AD. The director attributes his sophisticated visual sensibility to being raised by a mother who was head stylist at Vogue London, and the fact that he and all of his brothers attended art school in England.

Australian Director and Photographer Chris Searl founded the magazine Monster Children over 10 years ago.  He has flowed seamlessly between Creative Director, photographer and director, creating innovative campaigns for brands in the youth lifestyle, fashion, music and travel arenas. Corona, Levis, Coke, Bonds and Lee Jeans are examples of brands who’ve tapped Searl’s aspirational yet genuine visual sensibility. Chris’ combined background allows him to create striking stills for campaigns he directs. “I feel like now more so than ever there’s such a big crossover between photography and directing,” notes Searl. Chris’ portraiture subjects include the likes of Beck, Julian Casablancas, Joel Edgerton, Dave Grohl and Kelly Slater.

As a founding partner of Monster Children, Searl continues the  successful magazine’s growth,  focusing on compelling forward-thinkers in a variety of subcultures, including surfing, skating, art, music and photography.
