Romy Jo Waller is an award winning producer who started her career in music video and multi-cam production over a decade ago in London. Since then, she has worked within advertising, animation, television and film, both as an in-house and freelance producer. Now she joins the Riff Raff Films team in the US, as an executive producer for the production company's music videos and special projects.
Previously, Romy Jo worked at Unanimous Entertainment as an executive development assistant, helping produce award winning films such as ‘The Childhood of a Leader’ and ‘Ashes In The Snow’. The executive producer's own narrative work has also been funded by the likes of the BFI, Barbican and the BBC, with her films being screened as part of The Smalls Festival, premiering at the BFI Southbank, and being broadcast on the BBC.
Romy Jo also worked within the Warner Music Group as a scripted development producer for two years, before moving to Dazed Media as a video commissioner - where she worked for three years until her most recent role as executive producer at Stink Films. This role took her Stateside for the first time, spending a year at the production company's LA office. Now, her journey continues on the west coast as part of Riff Raff films.
"I’ve always loved Riff Raff’s work - their immense talent roster and impeccable taste has always excited and interested me," says Romy Jo. "The wonderful Matthew Clyde brought me to Riff Raff. We met around 10 years ago in London and worked together in a PA and 1st AD capacity, and recently reconnected State Side - I love how we’ve come full circle."
