Sometimes, you have to exceed reality.
For this new project with the global investment company T. Rowe Price, the Rodeo FX Paris team partnered once again with visionary director Antoine Bardou-Jacquet from Partizan, with VFX supervisor Franck Lambertz and VFX producer Nicolas Huguet at the helm of the VFX Team, joined by Stephane Allender as on-set supervisor and flame operator.
After an outer-wordly ride in the enchanting landscapes of Saudi Arabia, this time the team took out to the towering heights of a busy city centre for a spot conceptualized by Digitas, that explores the delicate balance between performance and humanity.
“Working with Antoine is always a pleasure. Each project begins with a clear and precise brief, giving you and the team a solid base to work from while pushing you to take it to the next level. The collaboration is always fun and creative - the perfect mix for great results!” said Franck Lambertz, VFX supervisor
From playing with a zoetrope effects or a mysterious smoke wall to a character sprinting through the city, the team juggled with multiple realities and shots, stitching them together seamlessly.
All of this unfolds across two distinct versions of the city: one bathed in daylight, where golden buildings shimmer in the sun, and the other cloaked in night, where rain and smoke glow under vibrant neon lights.
“This project was a perfect meld of creativity, trust, and collaboration. It was a true partnership beginning to end, showcasing how creativity thrives when all parties are invested and aligned in making great work. Antoine and the Rodeo team went above and beyond at every step, and we're truly appreciative of their commitment to the craft.” said Dana Thompson, executive producer.
While the artistry shines in every shot, the main focus was to keep the spot grounded, ensuring the action always unfolds in an ultra-realistic setting. A perfect representation of how T. Rowe enables users to navigate through investments, without ever losing sight of reality.
“What a pleasure to collaborate once again with Antoine on this second ad from the Rodeo FX Paris studio and to work hand in hand with Digitas! This project came with a real challenge in terms of delivery, but thanks to smooth communication and a talented creative team, we are very proud of the result.” said Nicolas Huguet, VFX producer
