Quorn Foods, the world’s leading meat alternative brand, has appointed adam&eveDDB as its creative agency after a competitive pitch. The agency will be tasked with developing a global campaign to encourage people to choose food that is healthy for both themselves and for the planet. It will run in key markets, including the UK, the US and Sweden.
The meat alternative category has grown rapidly over the last few years as people’s eating habits change for health and environmental reasons. It has seen a number of new competitive brands spring up however Quorn remains the indisputable UK market leader.
At the beginning of 2020 Quorn became the first meat free food brand to publish ‘Farm to Shop’ carbon footprint data for its 30 biggest selling products, independently certified by the Carbon Trust. The strategy reflects consumer sentiment, with 50% of us saying we eat meat free for environmental reasons and 64% of us wanting to reduce our carbon footprint to protect the planet for future generations (YouGov).
