Seb has been with the agency for 8 years and worked on client campaigns, including Haribo, On the Beach, Vimto and more

Seb Jamous, who joined Quiet Storm on a placement in 2016, has been promoted to the role of creative director. He was previously a senior art director at the agency.

Seb’s role will be to drive creative excellence in non-traditional channels while continuing to work on TV and AV campaigns. He will work with founder Trevor Robinson across all of the agency’s clients.

During his eight years at the agency, Seb has contributed to some of the strongest creative work for clients, including Haribo, On the Beach, Shaken Udder milkshake, Vimto, and the Women’s Equality Party. His valued input has also helped win the agency pitches, including OTB, Shaken Udder and Fage.

Seb has written and directed three of the latest UK Haribo ads, including Police, Boxer, and the new commercial that launches in February. For On the Beach, he wrote and co-directed “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” film with Trevor Robinson and creative partner Harry Iddon, and he has written and co-directed the latest Vimto and Shaken Udder ads.

As well as his unique contribution to the agency’s creative output, Seb has been one of the driving forces behind Quiet Storm’s purpose work, in particular, the Create Not Hate initiative that won a Campaign Purpose Award, two Creative Circle awards, and a finalist for Campaign Big and The Drum awards.

His creative leadership in this area has been remarkable and led to print work which was named in the Top 10 press ads of 2020 by Campaign, Seb has also been heavily involved in the agency’s work for the Women’s Equality Party, supporting the work of art director Meghan Suttlewood and writer Robyn Bowman.

Seb has worked very closely with Emmanuel Areoye, who was hired by the agency after participating in the 2020 Create Not Hate project. Emmanuel works on a freelance basis at Quiet Storm while studying for a Computer Science degree at the University of Nottingham.

Trevor Robinson, founder of Quiet Storm, said, “Seb’s contribution to the agency has been so impressive, his skills as a creative and a director have driven some of our most successful work. It is incredibly rewarding to have watched Seb grow into an expert leader and mentor of the more junior talent.”

In last year’s Campaign School Reports, Seb Jamous was named the agency’s star player, praised because “he has been instrumental in developing some of [Quiet Storm’s] most outstanding creative work.”

Seb Jamous adds, “The appointment is the realisation of a long-term personal goal. To have achieved it at a company that is so committed to pushing creative boundaries whilst acting as a force for good is a source of immense personal pride. Within the role, my intentions are clear: to nurture the incredibly rich, creative environment that Trevor has already built and to use all of that creative firepower to expand the company through new business and fantastic work.”
