Award winning studio Pulse Films, today announces, director Freddie Waters will be represented on their roster for commercial work in the UK and US.
Freddie thrives on observed, situational comedy - drawing humour from everyday scenarios that to the untrained eye appear mundane. He favours subtly and creates brilliantly well-timed performances that make his films stand out from the crowd. It's no surprise that he's a long-term collaborator with comedian Jack Whitehall, having shot a host of commercials, a short film and Netflix Comedy Special, I'm Only Joking, with him. His recently completed television series, Peacock (with the team behind People Just Do Nothing) is set to air on BBC Three later this year.
Since signing with Pulse Films, the highly sought-after Waters has already made his mark on the advertising scene, having shot and delivered highly creative campaigns for Adidas and McDonald's.
James Sorton, managing director, commercials at Pulse Films commented: “Freddie is a super shiny new comedy Director who delivers creative quality through an unashamedly witty but subtle lens. His work is relatable, precisely timed and he manages to find humour in everyday scenarios that we all resonate with. He makes me laugh, his work makes me laugh, and he’s a very exciting addition to the Pulse Films commercial roster.”
Freddie Waters said: “There's an energy around Pulse Films that just makes you want to be part of it. It's somehow bigger than the work they produce and the awards they win. Then you get inside and it all makes sense. It's a group of really lovely people, operating at the highest level and all having a great time. You just know it's going be a good ride.”
Pulse Films was awarded The British Arrows 2021 Production Company of the Year, as well as ranked second in the Global Production company Rankings (Palme D’Or) at the 2021 Cannes Lions Festival. The studio also secured second position in the Campaign 2021 Production Company of the Year list. Pulse Films continues to set the bar as a truly next-generation production company, a unique home for talent that lets the work be their noise.view more - Hires, Wins & BusinessPulse Films, Thu, 17 Feb 2022 08:39:47 GMT
