PetSmart Charities has helped save more than nine million pets through adoptions, and currently, one in five pets in North America are adopted through the organisation. With animal shelters across the country remaining overwhelmed with lost, abandoned, and surrendered pets amidst the pandemic, PetSmart Charities’ converted their annual adoption event, National Adoption Days for the virtual space, taking place from 14th - 30th September.
To kick off PetSmart Charities National Pet Adoption Days, the organisation launched an all-new spot to share that pets don’t care about our differences, they love us all the same. Featuring nine real pet parents, the spot highlights a diverse group of people with varied experiences to share everyone deserves love and every pet deserves a loving home. Launching on 14th September, the spot was made in collaboration with creative agency Deutsch LA and will run nationally on broadcast, social and digital.
The virtual adaptation allows future pet parents to start their adoption journey remotely through a search database organised by postcode, allowing access to more than 3,750 animal pet organisations across the U.S and Canada.
In addition, PetSmart Charities is providing grants to nearly 4,000 animal welfare organisations across the U.S, Canada, and Puerto Rico and increased its $2 million commitment in support to an additional $1.2 million in grants to assist animal shelters and organisations towards the goodwill effort.
